Saint Matthew Thrift Shop Volunteer
Volunteering at our parish thrift shop is a vital way to serve our community and support those in need. The shop relies on the dedication of volunteers to keep it running smoothly, sort donations, and assist customers with kindness and care. Not only does your time and effort make a meaningful difference to others, but it also brings great personal fulfillment and a sense of purpose. Volunteering is truly a blessing, offering a chance to build new friendships, grow in faith, and be the hands and feet of Christ in our everyday lives.
Office Volunteer
Our parish office is currently seeking volunteers to assist with clerical and reception duties. This essential work includes answering phones, greeting visitors, organizing files, and supporting basic administrative tasks. By helping in the office, you contribute directly to the smooth operation of parish life, allowing our clergy and staff to focus more on ministry and service.
Volunteering in the parish office benefits not only the community but also offers personal enrichment. It provides an opportunity to grow in faith, meet new people, learn new skills, and be more deeply involved in parish life. Safe Environment Certification

Please note the Safe Environment Certification process consists of 2 Steps:
- Step 1: Safe Environment video and quiz
- Step 2: Fingerprinting
Begin by clicking the link below. Please read the instructions carefully. You cannot submit fingerprints until you have completed the Safe Environment video and passed the quiz.
Step 1: Safe Environment Video and Quiz
- Watch the Safe Environment Certification video. The video is about 25 minutes long.
- When the video is complete, read the Diocesan Standards of Conduct and agree to terms. Proceed to quiz.
- Our Entity ID Number is 94
Choose your role/applicant type: volunteer, employee, vendor, clergy, or deacon. Click “next” to take the 20 question quiz. - Passing scores are 80% and above.
If you pass, you may immediately download your certificate. Results will also be emailed to your diocesan entity and to the office of Human Resources. Once the Safe Environment Certification quiz is complete, a Fieldprint code will appear specific to your entity. Please copy or write down this Fieldprint code as you will need to enter it in the next step. If you fail the quiz, you will be directed to Step 1.
Step 2: Fingerprinting
Visit www.fieldprintflorida.com to register for your fingerprinting appointment. You will need an email address for this part of the process. If you do not have an email address, please call our office 407-647-3392 for assistance.
Please enter the Fieldprint Code on the “Reason for Fingerprinting” screen when prompted. Then complete Fieldprint registration and schedule your appointment.
